Dos Pueblos’ softball team was cruising along until the floodgates opened for Buena in the fifth. The Bulldogs scored five runs in the frame to hand the visiting Chargers a 7-1 defeat Tuesday.
Hannah Harris tallied a triple, DP’s only extra-base hit, while Buena hit three solo homers in the fifth.
“I think we just need to gel more as a team. Watch out for DP come the second half of the season,” said coach Donn Roberts.
