Dos Pueblos’ Kiley Neushul and Danelle Little took home more hardware this week following their second-consecutive CIF girls water polo championship, as Neushul was named Division I’s player of the year and Little coach of the year.
Goalkeeper Sami Hill and Alex Hill, both juniors, were named to the first team and Tiera Schroeder and Kodi Hill made the second team for the Chargers, who finished with an overall record of 28-3 in their first year in CIF’s top division.
Santa Barbara, which had a down year record-wise at 12-17, had two players named All-CIF. Freshman Charlotte Hendrix made the second team while junior Leah Gonzales joined the third.
San Marcos’ leading scorer Jade Wentz-Fitzgerald made the third team for leading the Royals to a 16-15 record and their first playoff win during head coach Brian Roth’s five years at the school.
