Chargers struggle to get it going

Camarillo’s starting pitcher Taylor Hansen left the Dos Pueblos baseball team disgruntled on Tuesday, tossing six innings of one-run ball in a 4-1 victory over the Chargers.

Hansen sat down eight Charger batters on strikes and only allowed Josh Paden to score.

“(Hansen) got in early in the count and pounded the (strike) zone early,” said Charger head coach Nate Mendoza.

In its next game, Dos Pueblos (1-2) faces a former Channel League foe in Rio Mesa at home on Thursday.
