Isacc Cervantes hit a 3-run homer in the first inning and Carpinteria exploded for 14 hits in Thursday’s 12-2 baseball win over visiting Marist from Oregon.
Nathan Saito had two hits, including a double, while pitching a complete-game 3-hitter, striking out five while walking only one. Diego Carrillo had a pair of doubles, as did Kyle Geary who had three hits and three runs scored. Trevor Madden also had a pair of hits on the day.
The Warriors host Dunn on Wednesday.
