Santa Barbara scored on its first four possessions and jumped out to a 5-1 lead after one quarter to beat visiting Buena 13-5 in Wednesday’s Channel League girls water polo match.
Makenzy Fowler and Leah Gonzales each scored four goals for the Dons, who improved to 5-7 overall and 3-0 in league.
Coach Mark Walsh said that Samantha King also had a solid all-around outing, scoring once and adding three assists and two ejections drawn.
“I thought we did a nice job coming off of a fairly big league win yesterday,” he said, referring to Tuesday’s 8-4 victory over San Marcos.
Santa Barbara is off until next Thursday’s date with Long Beach Wilson.
