San Marcos turns it over to SLO, 65-45

Chris Vines led the way with 14 points and nine rebounds but the San Marcos boys basketball team was hampered by turnovers in a 65-45 loss to San Luis Obispo (3-0) Friday in the Lompoc Tournament.

“We’re young, and we just didn’t respond well to their ball pressure. We turned the ball over too much and didn’t do a great job in our half-court game,” said coach Jarrod Bradley.

Bryant Koopmans pitched in 10 points and five assists for the Royals (0-2).
