Jeanette Mendoza had 12 points and the San Marcos girls basketball team had a 13-8 lead after the first quarter, but the Royals couldn’t hang on and ended the Gold Coast Tournament with a 51-40 loss to Moorpark on Saturday.
The Royals are now 4-5 on the season.
