Santa Barbara forward Christian Pardo put up two scores for the Dons and Jesse Gonzalez added their third in a 3-0 season-opening victory at Simi Valley on Wednesday.
Pardo scored the first two before Gonzalez added his for Santa Barbara, who lost much of their offensive firepower from last year’s CIF semifinalist squad.
The Dons play two games on Friday in the Cats and Hounds Tournament. Palmdale is on the slate first at 12:30 p.m. and then Torrance at 3:30 p.m.
