Maddie Firestone scored 16 points as Cate picked up a huge girls basketball win over rival Thacher on Friday night, beating the Toads for the first time in over five years with a 35-30 tilt in the Bishop Diego/Laguna Blanca Tournament.
“It’s great for our program, and just a very exciting win for our girls,” said assistant coach Jim Masters.
Grace Williams added seven points for the 3-1 Rams, who will play for third place in the tournament on Saturday.
