Cate boys bit by Sharks

Coach Bryan Rodriguez called Cate’s 69-35 loss at Malibu Wednesday “obviously our worst showing of late.” The inexperienced Rams (1-4), who return only two players who have seen significant varsity minutes, were hampered by turnovers in the defeat.“The big issue is our ability to take care of the basketball,” said Rodriguez. “And defensively we’re normally better, but we were slow and barely getting back.”

Vladimir Vilsaint led Cate with 10 points. The Rams plat Kilpatrick on Friday.
