Carp offense spread nicely over New Roads

Seven Carpinteria girls basketball players got in the scoring column Saturday as the Warriors sped over New Roads 48-25 in the FIllmore Tournament.

Caitlin Wallace had 14 points and seven rebounds while Amanda Burch had 10 points with six boards. Sierra Freeman nabbed six steals.

“Our defense has been pretty solid, but now our offense is gradually starting to come together,” said coach Dan Mercer, whose team is now above the .500 mark at 5-4.The Warriors play St. Genevieve on Monday.
