Cardinals crush Viewpoint at Winter Slam

Sophomore Kelsey Stimson scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Bishop Diego girls basketball team in a 56-18 romp of Viewpoint at the Winter Slam.

Every Cardinal got in the game and the books, and coach Jeff Burich said that the Bishop press was very effective in getting turnovers and steals. Allison Breuer had three blocks to go with her six points.

Next up is a chance at redemption on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. as the Cardinals (6-4) will face L.A. Baptist, which beat them just a couple of weeks ago at the Fillmore Tournament.“We lost to them by 24 and we had two bad quarters, but we’re looking to get that one back. It will be a good game for us,” said Burich.
