Derrick Graham had two goals, two assists and four steals on Senior Day as the host Dos Pueblos water polo team took a 9-0 lead into halftime and wound up a 13-2 winner over San Marcos Thursday.
“We played pretty outstanding defense throughout, and our seniors led the way,” said Chargers coach Chris Parrish.
The team’s seniors are Nolan Starczak, Loren Drewisch, Kistler and Anthony Sarena. Starczak, Drewisch and Sarena each scored once, whie Kistler and Kevin Cappon both found the back of the net three times.
Conner Cleary and Derek Shoemaker also scored, and goalies Isaiah Haas and Kyle Wollert each had a pair of saves in the cage.
The Chargers now await a rematch of an overtime loss to Santa Barbara in which the Channel League crown is at stake.
