Cate’s scoring attack was as balanced as it gets, but the Carpinteria boys water polo team capitalized on several drawn ejections to edge the Rams 7-6 on Friday at Cate.
Dana Edwards, Flynn McGuire, Chrisina Lowe, Conrad Kurth, Nathan Vice and Brian Warren each scored one goal for Cate (0-2).
The two teams re-engage on Tuesday in Carpinteria’s pool.
