Catherine Hough’s 53 led the way for the Carpinteria girls golf team, but it didn’t put the Warriors within range of Oaks Christian, which shot a 278 for the win Tuesday at per-36 Camarillo Springs Golf Course. Carpinteria turned in a 318.
Marlene Bennett was out with the flu for the Warriors (0-3) and was missed, according to coach Christine Gahan. The Lions improved to 3-0 overall.
“I’m expecting them to keep improving technically with the swings and course management and seeing lower scoring and a win,”
said Gahan.
