Olivia Fanaro shot a six-over 41 at River Ridge Golf Course Wednesday as the Santa Barbara High girls golf team remained undefeated with a narrow 233-235 win over Oxnard (3-1). The Dons played the same course earlier in the week, and according to coach Ryan Throop improved their overall score by about 20 strokes this time around.
“It was clutch. I knew it would be close, but our group pulled it off. Each player shaved a significant amount off of her score,” said Throop.
The Dons (5-0) host Santa Ynez at Montecito Country Club on Thursday.
