Dos Pueblos takes out T.O.

There isn’t much getting in the way of the Dos Pueblos girls tennis team so far this season.

Not illness, fatigue, injuries or blisters.

And not Thousand Oaks.

Singles player Erica Cano and the doubles team of Amy Sagraves-Amy Logan remained untouchable in leading the Chargers to a 13-5 victory over T.O. on Thursday.

The trio hasn’t dropped a set yet this season and is a big reason DP is now 4-0.

Coach Liz Frech highlighted her “comeback kids,” doubles team Oriane Matthys-Nicoletta Bradley, for earning two crucial points by coming from behind to win sets.

Senior singles player Hayley Edwards swept her two sets at No. 2 singles. As did No. 3 Angie Dai before they gave way to Hannah Zimmerman and Sofia Pasternack.

Zimmerman stepped in and took down Thousand Oaks’ No. 1 singles player, Veronica Lin, in a tiebreaker.

The Chargers face Mira Costa, which was beaten 12-6 Thursday by Santa Barbara, today at Dos Pueblos.
