San Marcos and Buena met on Wednesday in the Channel-League opener for both teams. The Royals, ranked No. 3 in all of CIF Division 1, cruised to an easy 11-2 victory.
Freshmen Sky Mainz, Grace Hahs and Jaiden Feldman each scored in their Channel League debuts. Lilly Rose Akin’s three goals were a team-high.
The Royals host their first home game of the season on Friday against Cathedral Catholic. San Marcos improves to 7-0 overall.
