Santa Barbara High’s girls soccer team opened its season on Tuesday at home against Moorpark, falling 2-1 to the visiting Musketeers.
Moorpark, ranked No. 2 in CIF Division 4, put two goals on the scoreboard in the first half. The Dons rallied in the second half with a goal of their own off the foot of Gardenia Maya.
“It was a fast paced and physical game and I felt our girls held there own. It was great to see them fight back and go for the win,” reported Dons head coach Jill Wolf.
