Sierra Hearron and the San Marcos girls basketball team dominated Villanova Prep on Wednesday and pocketed a 58-16 non-league victory.
Hearron led the Royals with 19 points and nine rebounds. Anna Reed added 10 points while Jackie Hernandez and Taylor Hantgin contributed eight each.
The Royals owned the second quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 19-4, on their way to a 29-9 halftime lead.
“Everyone played a vital role tonight. Kaitlynn Miller and Taylor Hantgin did a great job controlling the floor, and our young team had some really good positive energy tonight,” said Royals assistant coach Aaron Solis.
The Royals play Hueneme next.
