Behind the dominant offensive performance of multiple returning stars, the San Marcos boys basketball team cruised to a 56-41 basketballvictory over Moorpark on Thursday.
Ryan McCarthy led the way from the point guard position with 19 points and four assists. Scott Everman finished with 15 points while Jackson Stormo tallied 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Tyson Miller, returning for the first time this year due to a torn patellar tendon, grabbed 7 rebounds.
“It was a good win. Moorpark is a very well coached team with good senior players,” San Marcos coach Landon Boucher said. “They have beat some tough teams already this year (Beverly Hills and Oxnard). I’m really proud of the way we competed as a team. These guys are completely playing for each other, its obvious.”
