Rayshaun Moore scored 21 and Ryan Springer added 20 off the bench for Carpinteria in a 56-39 victory over Providence on Monday.
Moore, with six rebounds, registered his second 20-point game in as many contests to start the season. He led Carpinteria to a first-quarter lead that the Warriors didn’t relinquish. Jacob Garside was Carpinteria’s leading rebounder with 11. Springer shot 7 for 10 from the field on his way to a season-high 20 points.
The Warriors were coached by Jackson Damron who was filling in for Johnny Ward.
Gianni Madrigal led the Patriots with 14 points.
Carpinteria (2-0) faces Garden Street Academy in a non-league game on Wednesday.
