VIDEO: Scott Everman drains 3-pointer as shot-clock expires.
Neither illness nor University’s basketball team could stop Scott Everman on Saturday as the San Marcos senior scored 27 points in a 71-63 non-league win.
Tyson Miller added 10 points and six rebounds. Ryan Fay’s stat line included six points and seven rebounds.
“We had very solid performances by a number a guys,” reported Royals head coach Landon Boucher. “McCarthy had an off shooting night, but grabbed 10 rebounds. His shots were good shots, just didn’t fall, he fought hard though. We thought Jackson Stormo was big for us early, when Thomas and Scott had to sit due to foul trouble. Jackson carried us with 9 points in the first half.”
San Marcos (4-0) plays two games on the road next week.
