Scott Everman and a pair of sophomores paved the way for San Marcos on Tuesday night in a 62-47 victory over Righetti.
Everman scored a team-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds and four assists. Sophomores Stefan Korfas, 13 points, and Jackson Stormo, nine points, gave the Royals a boost.
“Our Sophomores were big for us tonight. Stefan had some big shots down the stretch, and Jackson finished well down low,” said Royals head coach Landon Boucher. “This team has someone different stepping up for us every night on the offensive end, while playing really good team defense. We continue to get such solid play out of Thomas Hantgin and Tyson Miller, they do so many things that don’t show up on a stat sheet.”
San Marcos plays again on Friday at Workman.
