BBK: Defense steps up for Dons in 4th straight win

The “Killer Bs” were at it again for the Santa Barbara High boys basketball team.

Nick Busch scored 18 points and Bolden Brace tallied 15, leading the Dons to a 60-32 win over Valencia in the late game at the Simi Valley Tournament on Tuesday.

Santa Barbara (4-0) stepped up its defensive effort in the game. It held Valencia to just 14 points in the first half.

“I thought we did a good job defensively and our defense really carried us as our offense was struggling,” said assistant coach Joseph Bregante.

The Dons are back on the court Wednesday against Crescenta Valley.
