Santa Barbara High suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday in a 62-52 setback to Crescenta Valley at the Simi Valley Tournament.
The Dons trailed by five points at halftime and trailed the entire second half.
“We struggled to move offensively and our defense had several breakdowns at critical times,” said Dons assistant coach Joe Bregante. “I think it was a good experience for us and hopefully it will make us a better team in the long run.”
Santa Barbara (4-1) plays again on Friday against Pioneer Valley in a tournament game at 6:30pm.
