Providence overpowered Villanova on Tuesday 63-45 thanks to strong performances from multiple positions.
Ricky Beebe turned in a complete stat line of 13 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Gianni Madrigal also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Caleb Jones’ 16 points were a team-high to go with his eight rebounds. Bryan Sheets was a factor with 10 points. John Butler received credit from Patriots head coach Steve Stokes for his defensive that contributed to Villanova shooting just 25 percent from the field.
It was the fifth game in eight days for Providence (3-2). The Patriots will take a break for finals before hosting Garden Street Academy on December 19 at Westmont.
