Shiloe Parsons had 38 assists, eight digs and two aces on Wednesday night as No. 2 SBCC swept past Hancock 25-18, 25-17, 25-10 in a WSC North women’s volleyball match in Santa Maria.
The Vaqueros (20-3, 8-1) reached the 20-win plateau for the fourth time in seven years and remained in a first-place tie with No. 1 L.A. Pierce, which defeated Ventura 3-1.
Ed Gover, in his 25th year as head coach, has three 21-win seasons – 21-6 in 2010, 21-3 in 2009 and 21-3 in 1999 when the Vaqueros were second in the state.
Shannon Friend had 10 kills and hit .333 for the three-time defending conference champions while Kaitlyn Clemann and Katelynn Womack added eight kills apiece. Clemann hit .467 for the match.
SBCC is 40-3 in its last 43 conference matches.
Tristen Thompson had 14 digs and four of her team’s 13 aces.
The Vaqueros will host Moorpark on Friday at 6 p.m.
