At the 2015 National Junior Olympics, Coach Chris Parrish led the “Polo Pals” — a group of recent high school graduates, SBWPC players, and friends of his son Blake (DPHS/SBWPC/Stanford), to an 18U National Championship — the first ever won by a pickup team.

At the 2015 Las Vegas Invitational, held over the weekend, Parrish led the next generation into battle against some stiff competition. 805 Santa Barbara Water Polo Club’s 14U boys are a fast developing team that is emerging as a force in California’s Coastal Zone.

The 14s defeated Team Vegas, Del Mar, and perennial power Commerce before meeting Riverside in the final and winning 7-6. Next up for the 14’s are the Ventura League Championships on November 21st and 22nd.

The 14 boys included Julian Bacon, Morgan Bacon, Brennan Bingham, Rex Goodner, Deacon Hill, Liam McCarthy, Ethan Parrish, Chase Raisin, and Jacob Thielst. With victories over several of Southern California’s top clubs 805 Santa Barbara Water Polo Club’s 14 Boys are a team to watch at the 2016 Junior Olympics.
