SBCC was held to 28.8 percent shooting on Saturday night and suffered an 80-63 loss to Moorpark in the third-place game at the Ventura We Play Hard men’s basketball tournament.
Tejon Williams hit 8-14 shots and had a season-high 20 points for the Vaqueros (1-2). Bryndon Wilson added 10 points while Cody Williams and Zack Peterson had eight apiece. Adrian Humphrey contributed six points and seven rebounds.
The Raiders (2-1) led 41-36 at the half. Larry Bush scored 25 points to lead five Raiders in double figures. Moorpark made 11-of-25 on 3-pointers while the Vaqueros were 5-27.
The Vaqueros will take next week off, then play in West L.A.’s Wild West Shootout on Nov. 20-21. They’ll face Saddleback on Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. and Barstow on Nov. 21 at 3 p.m.
