Dos Pueblos nearly swept every singles set in Tuesday’s CIF wild-card match against South Pasadena, winning eight of nine on the way to an 11-7 victory.
The Chargers advance to a first-round match at Marlborough on Wednesday.
Katie Yang was dominant at the top of the singles lineup, taking her three sets by storm 6-1, 6-0, 6-0. KC Egger’s sweep was almost as efficient as the Chargers’ senior recorded wins of 6-0, 6-2, 6-1. Hannah Kleidermacher claimed two more singles sets for the Chargers 6-1 and 6-2.
The doubles team of Saylor Yoos and Catherine Wang pushed the Chargers over the top. The pair persevered in a hard-fought 7-6 tiebreak won 9-7, added to additional 6-2, 6-3 wins.
