Amber Belleti’s block in the final seconds of the fourth quarter helped Dos Pueblos hold off Rio Mesa on Tuesday, 50-47, in the Chargers’ season opener.
Belleti finished with nine points and 17 rebounds. Juniors Holly Barerra and Camila Casanueva carried the scoring load with 18 and 15 points, respectively.
Each team had big leads in the game and both teams lost them. Rio Mesa got as close as 47-45 in the fourth quarter but the Chargers found a way to win.
