SBCC posted a 25-17, 25-22, 25-19 women’s volleyball sweep at Moorpark on Wednesday night.
The Vaqueros, ranked No. 2 in the state, won their seventh straight to boost their records to 16-2 overall and 4-0 in the WSC North. The three-time defending conference champs are 36-2 in their last 38 WSC matches.
Paige Sabin, a 6-1 sophomore, returned to the lineup at middle blocker and setter Shiloe Parsons played well as did libero Tristen Thompson and Raleigh McKinney.
“It was a total team effort,” said coach Ed Gover. “Shiloe did a great job of distributing the ball to all our hitters. Tristen and Raleigh commanded the backcourt, making countless defensive plays. And it was nice to have Paige Sabin back in the lineup.”
The Vaqueros will host second-place Ventura (14-3, 3-1) on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
