Kyran Johal scored a pair of first-half goals on Tuesday but SBCC came away with a 2-2 men’s soccer tie at Moorpark.
Johal, a freshman from London, England, has three goals in the last two games. He scored in the third minute on an assist from fellow Englander William Joyce and made it 2-1 in the 39th minute when he broke down the left side and beat the keeper.
Moorpark (1-8-2, 1-5-2 WSC) tied it three minutes later. SBCC fell to 6-3-4 and 2-2-4 in conference.
Jonathan Mora and a Moorpark player received red cards in the 45th minute, leaving both teams with 10 players for the second half.
The Vaqueros have tied three of their last four outings and are 1-2-4 in their last seven games.
“I really felt like we were the better team and we should have won this one,” said coach John Sisterson. “William Joyce was the man of the match. He passed well, defended well and went hard for 90 minutes.”
SBCC returns to action on Tuesday at Hancock with kickoff at 3 p.m.
