A three-match winning streak was snapped on Thursday for Carpinteria’s girls tennis team as the Warriors fell 15-3 to La Reina in a Tri-Valley League contest.
The Warriors were short-handed but adjusted as best possible. La Reina’s singles lineup proved to be too tough.
“Overall, we did a nice job of adjusting but we just did not have the firepower to match up with La Reina. They are a solid team but again I was happy with how hard we fought and the determination of our players,” said Warriors head coach Charles Bryant.
The loss drops the Warriors to 3-4 in the league standings.
