Cate dominated Carpinteria on Tuesday, 16-2, in a Tri-Valley League match.
The Rams were coming off their first loss of the season on Friday and were extra motivated to get back into the win column. Cate (10-1, 7-0) got wins from its starters and kept going with plenty of reserves in the lineup.
Sophomore Jack Cai captured three sets in singles in a complete match. No. 1 singles players Julia Gan was 2-0 before sitting out. Eva Herman and Janice Ng led the doubles effort with a three-set sweep.
Carpinteria’s two wins came in singles from Madison Cleek and Kathryn Blair.
The Rams complete their regular-season schedule this week with matches against Malibu on Thursday and Simi Valley on Saturday.
The Warriors, who fall to 3-5 in the league standings, face Laguna Blanca in a non-league match on Monday.
