The Greater Santa Barbara Royals hockey team scored two goals in the third period to tie the East County Outlaws, but the Outlaws scored the game-winner with 31 seconds left in overtime to hand Santa Barbara its first loss, 3-2, on Saturday.
Joe Johnson and Jacob Watkins scored for the Royals to tie the score at 2-2 in the third period. Jacob Watkins assisted and Chris Ewasiuk recorded the assists.
Goalie Brady Rorondo played the entire game and stopped 21 shots.
The Royals are 3-1 in the Los Angeles Kings High School Hockey League.
