A hot start propelled San Marcos past Martin Luther King on Friday, 15-6, in a non-league contest.
The Royals scored six goals in the first period, opening a quick five-goal lead. The score was 10-4 at halftime and 14-5 after three quarters.
George Kuesis’ seven goals were a game high. Miles Cole found the back of the net four times while Brenden Ring, Spencer Wood and Koss Klobucher also scored for the Royals. Goalie Jack Palmer collected 11 saves.
San Marcos plays another non-league game on Saturday. It’s scheduled for 3 p.m. at Dos Pueblos against Servite.
