Wakelin McNeel tallied four touchdowns on Friday night to lead Laguna Blanca past Animo Robinson, 42-14, in a non-league 8-man football clash.
McNeel totaled 176 yards and added a sack on defense. Pierce O’Donnell’s safety in the second half was a key play as Animo Robinson cut Laguna Blanca’s lead to 22-14 in the third quarter.
The Owls led 22-8 at halftime.
Laguna Blanca also benefitted from a 35-yard touchdown run by Philip Fauntleroy and an interception by Anton Homeniuk. Ben Rios iced the game in the fourth quarter with a 36-yard scoring reception on 4th down.
Laguna Blanca (2-0) travels to Cambria next Friday to play Coast Union.
