Katelynn Womack notched 17 kills on Friday night and SBCC topped Antelope Valley for the second straight match, posting a 3-1 nonconference victory in Lancaster. The scores were 23-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-13.
The Vaqueros (7-1) edged the Marauders (2-3) by a 3-2 score last Saturday at the Bakersfield Quad.
Paige Sabin added six kills and hit .417 in Santa Barbara’s fourth straight win. Tristen Thompson had 18 digs.
“It took us a while to settle in after a long road trip,” said assistant coach Lisa Gera. “Katelynn had one of her best matches and Shiloe Parsons did a great job of distributing the sets. We showed a lot of maturity in this match.”
The Vaqueros will host the SBCC Quad on Saturday, Sept. 19, taking on Golden West at 10 a.m. and Fullerton at 2 p.m.
