Westlake wore out Santa Barbara High on Thursday night in a 25-22, 25-19, 25-17 non-league girls volleyball decision.
The Dons led in each of the first two games, including as late as 17-12 in the first, before succumbing to the sweep.
“We were playing some good volleyball but we need to learn how to be more consistent,” said Dons head coach John Gannon.
The Dons switched up their lineup in the third set to no avail.
“Just to see if something could work and we could get some momentum,” Gannon explained.
Jessyca Beksa had 12 kills and Lourda Weger 10 to lead the Dons’ offense.
Santa Barbara (2-1) travels to Harvard-Westlake on Tuesday for its next match.
