San Marcos’ girls volleyball team won its first three matches at the San Luis Obispo Tournament on Friday losing just one set.
The Royals, the tournament’s defending champions, defeated Paso Robles, Kingsburg and Santa Clara. San Marcos swept Paso Robles and Kingsburg in best-of-three matches before topping Santa Clara 20-25, 25-9, 15-8.
Head coach Erica Downing said the team played great defense to secure the three-set victory.
