San Marcos produced a 25-18, 24-26, 25-15, 25-15 non-league victory at Hart on Thursday night.
The Royals, ranked No. 7 in CIF Division 1A, were led by Chloe Allen’s 23 kills. Kamille Williams’ 14 kills were second-best on the team. Cassidy Drury-Pullen’s 28 digs led in that department while Gabi Peoples collected 43 assists.
“We played a very well balanced match tonight. We passed and played great defense,” said Royals head coach Erica Downing. “We had some key blocks from our right side and middles. This was a wonderful win against a scrappy team.”
The Royals even their record at 1-1 after a season-opening loss to Harvard-Westlake.
San Marcos’ next match is at Oxnard on Tuesday.
