Santa Barbara High bounced back from its loss to Harvard Westlake by beating Rio Mesa in four sets on Wednesday at J.R. Richards Gym.
Lourda Weger pounded 20 kills to lead the Dons in a 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 25-21 victory.
“It was good to get back in the winning column after a tough loss yesterday at Harvard Westlake,” coach John Gannon said. “We’re still figuring some things out and looking to improve, but we have a pretty good group and we’re definitely aiming to peak when league starts.”
Jessyca Beksa added 16 kills while Lucy Branch contributed three blocks for Santa Barbara (3-2).
