Dos Pueblos ran into an angry Ventura squad and was swept, 25-17. 25-13, 25-15, on Tuesday night in a Channel League girls volleyball match.
The Cougars, the defending co-champions, were coming off a three-set loss at San Marcos. Dos Pueblos was playing its league opener.
Karissa Mertens led the Chargers (0-1, 2-8) with 12 kills, while Ali Milam had seven and a block.
Sammy Slater paced the Cougars (1-1, 17-2) with 16 kills, nine digs and two aces. Middle Aubrey Knight had nine kills and two aces.
Dos Pueblos hosts Santa Barbara on Thursday.
