The Santa Barbara girls tennis team was unable to overcome Oaks Christian’s singles dominance as they fell 13-5 in a non-league matchup on Tuesday at the North Ranch Country Club.
Cade Sorenson led the singles department for Santa Barbara, faltering only one set on the day. Her victories marked the only singles points for the Dons.
In doubles, Eva Kershner and Alexia Berton secured two sets while Hope Dalton paired up with Brooke Morison to contribute a set win.
“The girls played a great match today and showed heart and determination,” said coach Sally Becker.
Santa Barbara will go on to host Ventura on Thursday.
