Cade Sorensen and Claire Stotts were responsible for half of Santa Barbara High’s scoring on Thursday, leading the Dons to a 12-6 victory over Buena in their Channel League opener.
Santa Barbara’s top two singles players swept their sets and lost just one game each. The Dons won four points in doubles. The teams of Eva Kershner/Brooke Morison, Hannah Echt/Alexia Berton, Hope Dalton/Claudia Brewer and Shane Martyniuk/Shane Shields all won a set each.
The Dons travel to the Golden State Classic at Stanford University this weekend.
