Rachel Kohansamad and Bishop Diego’s No. 1 doubles team won two matches against Thacher on Thursday. Other than that it was all Toads as Thacher recorded a 16-2 decision.
Thacher is ranked No. 4 in CIF Division 5.
Sierra Faoro and Adrianna Borgatello teamed to claim the Cardinals’ one doubles point.
“Everyone on the team played with a lot of heart and tried really hard. As a team we stayed positive and learned a lot,” said junior Angie Garcia.
Coach Sasha Madlem is optimistic about Bishop’s matches next week.
“The girls are learning what it takes to play competitively and are eager to improve. Everyone has made leaps and bounds in match play. I’m proud of what they’ve accomplished so far this season.”
