Remi Ho led a dominating effort by San Marcos’ golf team as the Royals defeated Santa Barbara 221-322 at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Each of the Royals scored better than Santa Barbara’s best round, recorded by Marie Kuschmann at 53.
Ho’s 42 was the match’s low round, followed by Mallory Sestak and MacKenzie McBride one stroke behind. Lauren Pitchford delivered a 46 and Alex Pitchford a 47. Ho and McBride each recorded a birdie to highlight their rounds.
“Today was probably one of our best matches of the season so far,” said Royals head coach Sarah Ashton.
Ho medaled for the second straight day.
The Royals are 7-0 overall on the season, 2-0 in league. They play next on Monday against Buena in Ventura.
