Santa Barbara High has named former collegiate standout Andrew White as its boys lacrosse coach.
White played at Ohio State and Stevenson University in Maryland. He earned first-team all conference honors and was named the team MVP at Stevenson in 2007.
Recently, White worked as an assistant coach with UCSB men’s lacrosse team. He coached at Columbine High in Littleton, Colo., before coming to Santa Barbara.
As a high school player, White was an All-American attackman at Loyola Blakefield in Baltimore.
“We are extremely fortunate to have such a talented coach lead our program,” said Santa Barbara athletic director Joe Chenoweth.
